The Inspiration

My background in dance deeply influences the way I see and photograph people. Years spent studying movement taught me to notice the subtle details that make each person unique; the gestures, expressions, and fleeting moments that often go unnoticed.

I'm less interested in creating perfectly polished images that could belong to anyone, and more interested in creating photographs that feel personal, honest, and distinctly yours.

My approach is especially well suited for people who don't love being photographed and want an experience that feels relaxed, collaborative, and true to who they are.

What My Background Means For You

You don’t need to arrive knowing what to do in front of my camera. No amount of awkwardness or lack of experience will ever intimidate me.

Connection and presence are the two things that I think make a photo memorable and magnetic.

My role is to guide, support, and help create an environment where you can settle in and feel comfortable. The only thing I ask in return is a willingness to stay open to the process.

I take what I do seriously, but I don't believe the process needs to be serious. While every session is thoughtfully planned, there's always room for play, experimentation, and unexpected moments. In fact, some of my favorite images happen when we stop trying so hard and simply allow ourselves to be present.

The best place to start is a conversation. I'd love to learn more about you, your ideas, and what has you considering a photo session.

A Few Personal This and Thats

My wife, Cassandra and I were both born and raised in Albuquerque and married at Los Poblanos in 2017.

We share our home with two senior rescue dogs, Rosie the pug and Frida the poodle. We have a dog stroller for them :)

I'm a firm believer in printed photographs. While digital galleries have their place, I'm drawn to thoughtfully curated collections, albums, and images that become part of a home's story.

Outside of photography, you'll usually find me making zines, working in an art journal, or experimenting with some new creative project.

Self-portraiture is one of my favorite creative practices and continues to influence the way I think about identity, expression, and being seen.

A perfect night out includes dinner followed by live theater, music, or a comedy show.

Every Halloween, Cassandra and I choose an iconic pop culture duo to dress as. In 2025, we went as Daphne and Velma from Scooby-Doo.
