The Art of Beginning Again
Sometimes a slump arrives unannounced. A craving for daily movement and creative practice is there, yet every attempt to implement one seems to fail. The plans become overwhelming, the structure too heavy to maintain. The thought of restarting can carry its own weight: What if this ends the same way?
I asked: what approach could make this feel lighter, and more sustainable?
These questions opened the door to a softer beginning. Instead of chasing rigid routines and expectations, I wanted this restart to be about presence, and following my own instincts for self care and creative expression. One sketch, one stretch, one small act of noticing each day. Sometimes messy, sometimes without sweat, and sometimes surprisingly alive.
Beginning again isn’t about proving discipline or getting it “right” this time. It’s about approaching the return with curiosity instead of pressure. Each restart carries its own wisdom, reminding me that presence matters more than perfection, and process more than the end result.
The art of beginning again is less about erasing what came before, and more about learning to start differently, and with more of my own inner wisdom leading the way.
